Nice dude, I can tell it is her. The mouth gives it away. Did you use reference? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
copied it straight from a photo. i'm not good enough to draw a well known face in any pose, if i did I know it wouldn't look right.

Yeah, you've captured a good likeness, and theres a nice style to it. your work tends to a have a very tim burtonesque feel to it. which is a compliment I hope
cool thanks. i agree a lot of my stuff has that gothic style too it, which is ok. i like tim burton and edward scissorhands may be my favourite movie. but i kind of want want to move away from that and i guess this was my attempt. maybe its the desaturated colours or the subject or maybe the way i go about digital painting hmmmm oh well still pretty happy with this pic.

I like your gothic style, Mr Stripes is one of my favourite images. I didn't think this one was particularly gothic though, but I guess any image of a rock chick should have a certain darkness to it. It wouldn't be right otherwise.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Ok i don't feel that this image has the tim burton look that some of your work has. However what makes it seem that way is your use of color. Everything is cold if you throw a bit of red in there say on the lips it might take away from the cold feel.
Also if you go look at the film clip for that song about water and daughter etc, you will see that the green of the water and the red work well together, maybe something like that would help. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Its just your choice of imagery aswell. I mean your style is there for a reason and thats because the things you like have that style too, we all have to get influences from somewhere and as artists we have to develop a style based on what we see in other peoples work and what we personally find appealing, I mean if you had done a portrait of celine dion or mariah carey I'm sure they wouldnt look as dark and disturbed, but then you wouldnt ever choose those artists (if you did I would have to suggest seeing a doctor). I don't think you can fight it. I mean its a good thing to have a style. it gives your work a recognizable quality. You don't see Hr Giger trying to paint cute fairies do you. although I think if he did they would probably end up in some sort of orgy or something.
thats all true. i'm just over the gothic style. tim burton has cornered the market and you cant do a stripe or a swirl without being compared to him. hopefully i can take what i'm doing now and over time let it evolve into something unique.
