Well your major choice here is weather you want to model and texture or weather you want to rig and animate or weather you want to focus on lighting, rendering and special effects. We can't tell you want to focus on. But those are the 3 main choices you have in my opinion. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.

I would get comfortable with modelling first it will probably take you the longest to master. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
In my opinion you should try it all and see what you enjoy the most. Probably a good idea to start with modelling as that is the basis of what 3d is all about. Then try texturing, lighting, animation etc. There are many different jobs you can do as a 3d artist, but it's a good idea to know the basics of all areas before you chose 1 to concentrate on.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
but it was to much too soon.....so i started to get familiar with the buttons and features...3ds max help was very useful also....now i work only with [Link to www.freeitsolutions.com] and if i dont find a tutorial there than i look for answers on forums ...and when you are a little advanced than you can come up with a project idea and try to create it ...
start on basics man..
erhm... the functions first then find some tutorials and other stuffs that can teach you how to deal with it,
