When I use caustic in 3dmax, after generate caustics
enable caustic in render option

it has error: no photons after emission
Would you please help me figure out the problem?
The error:
RCGI 0.5 error 361053: no photons stored after emitting 1000000 photons from light "Sun01|Light" (tag a6d): canceling emission job
RCGI 0.3 warn 362004: no photons stored after emitting 10000 photons from light "Sun01|Light" (tag a6d)

Try a different light source for casting caustics?

I try daylight and caustics in another scene, for example some balls that are placed above water surface, it works.

I just do not understand why it does work in this scene.

I got a similar error message once. It turned out that the light I was using was positioned just slightly above the ceiling of the room that contained the caustic generating objects. So no light was actually reaching the objects.
Is it possible you have a similar situation?

well I don't think that's the problem. Here's my render scene. As you see, daylight reaches the table. Besides, I also have four other sources of photometric free light on the ceiling that also emit light to the table.
The table is the object generating caustics

I think your window glass may be keeping the photons from reaching the table.
Try making the window generate caustics too.
