Hi! I'm trying to texture lace in 3ds max 2009 using opacity map on a plane. But the edge of the plane is showing when I render the image, and I'm sure the opacity map should be totally black on that area. Here is a picture:

The material is 2-sided, but it was still black from back side so I added also the shell modifier. But I don't think that makes the problem.
How do I get rid of the edges?

Do you get the same result with Shell turned off?

Yes, the problem was there before I added the shell mod.

Make sure you haven't got any specular highlights. They can cause problems with opacity.

I can't seem to think of a solution without looking at the scene. I tried to replicate to problem to no avail. the only thing I can think of is that its got to do with your texture and the way its tiling or the uv layout but I would have to have a look at the file.
