cant unwrap a editmesh model, anyone can hel me? by chating in msn or icq??

well i am new to unwrping a noob i would say lol, i made a mesh and i tryed to apply the unwrap modifier, and when i wnated to add the map parameters i cant select them , i d like to use the cilindric shapes so that i can create the texture for the model in ps....

i hope this helps you guys help me lol

ohh and if any one knows any good tut about it it would help me too

You can just apply an ordinary uvw map modifier. choose an axis then hit the fit button. you can tell by the gizmo as to what axis you want the cylindrical mapping to go. when in the subobject of the uvw map it turns from orange to yellow and a green line represents the seam where the cylinder joins up. rotate the gizmo so this is at the back of the model. Then add an unwrap uvw modifier and it should be pretty close as it is for painting on in photoshop either print screen or save a uvw template. theres way more to it but this works ok for doing a simple head or something like that.
