Hey folks. I just got the realflow demo and I've been trying it out a bit.
I figured out how to make it do a simple simulation, but I was wondering if anyone has found any bits of usefull trickery to make the simulations more realistic?. the few tests I've done look rather a lot like particles even after they have been meshed etc... in the demos of realflow there are some examples that look alot more like water than my tests do. is it just higher particle counts or what?

I think I may have figured it out partially. I didnt have filtering on when I created the mesh. any other tips on the issue would be appreciated tho smile.gif

My tip with realflow would be to get themost powerful computer ever built and just go nuts.

well thats sorta the deal with other next limit products too Ie: maxwell render.
still I'm stuck with a single core desktop machine and my dual core laptop at the moment.
I'm getting some reasonable results now. but its a long time between tests, takes some patience.

Yeah man, mooooooooooar particles. It will take freaking forever but will look so much more real. You played with rigid/soft bodies yet?

Lol. I havent done much with rigid and soft bodies yet. I have used a few boxes and rockets etc.. to have the water bounce off and made them fall over and float but nothing very complex, I'm just trying to think of a good project I could work it into. I thought of doing a waterfall with several pools at the bottom but havent had a chance to model it up yet.
