(Replying from previous thread) I'd suggest you take a look a photo of a city street and see what's in it and just go nuts with detail. Think about adding bits of rubbish, manhole covers, weeds, graffiti, anything that might look good really. You've got a good image but you could make it look really awesome. Take a look at Tyson's entry in the Robot challenge. It's not just the Robot and the computer, there's a whole bunch of stuff in the foreground and background that really help sell the image.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
hmm....yeah, i gather what u say.....had a look at Tyson's robot image.....it's simply awesome, there are a whole lot of things other than robot and machine... I'll too try to add some more details in the image. Thanks for the suggestions.
That's what i meant to Gustave The great detail on the Rickshaw needs to be enchanched by the surroundings which then also need some high detailed meshes
yeah.. the surroundings need to be somewhat more detailed. Like.... there can be some footpath on each side of the road and many other things. Do u have any idea how to create potholes in the road??
Your best bet will be to model it. Generally random shapes like that aren't easy. I'd probably start by using the cut tool to cut the shape into the road polygons. Then extrude those polys down so you've got a bit of a hole. Then it would be a matter of adding detail where needed, which will depend on how close it is to the camera. [Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Thanx man.... got the idea. Will work upon it soon. BTW i've just started learning camera and till now haven't used in any of my works... but looking forward to use in my future post.
I am almost sure you will get the hang of that vray cam soon. It's options surely define itself and all you have to do is play with it and get familiar with it
The options i use the most are : F-NUMBER = increase fraction number. your image will become brighter!
Shutter speed : increase or decrease opening of camera lens which also affects the amout of light coming into camera, i advice you to play around for the most natural effect
DOF: use this when you learned the above, in cells where you want to create depth of field. high subdivisions for it can slow a render down, but look awesome.
thanks... john for the brief description of the vray camera...
first i've to learn the 3ds max default (standard) cameras, then i'll try my hand at v-ray camera.
I'll surely ask if i have any doubts...Thanx.
