Hi all,

I am currently working on a short animation based on the v8 supercar race series from Australia and New Zealand and have an undercar shot looking at the inside of the wheel and brake disc/suspension etc...

now i am having trouble with rigging it together so it all moves together( i can only get it to work either up and down or forward and back not both.

Is there anyone out there who might be able to help me with this, i can supply a copy of file i am working with if this will be of any help.

Thank you
Kane

That's a really tough one. Is it possible to post a pic of the suspension setup?

I dont know it very well, but try studying the "reactor"'s hinge constraint.....sounds like it could be the solution....

Vehicle rigging fraks with my head every time, theres so many variables. the car needs to react to terrain but also move away from the ground etc when it jumps. its well hard.
you will be needing to venture into scripting in a serious way. that and expression controllers are very powerfull. I can do a set up where the cars suspension doesnt bottom out but I'm not sure about the floor stick setup. you want to be able to animate everything manually too, its a hard one for sure. send me a file and i will have a look at it and ask around if you want. tysontelliott@yahoo.com
