The new challenge is up, so get cracking with those robot designs.
I have stuck an old design of mine up to start us off but I will be working some new stuff for this challenge. Lets see some creative and original designs! Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Hi.Varnished, I think i am in...But this challenge have any rules or we can do everything we want with the model??Any limit for the tris???T^hanks in advance...
I guess you could submit Mr Rodriguez if you wish, but I'd like to see something original too. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
No time or poly restrictions on this one, go nuts on details. And I like Chris' suggestion, each design must have a specific job or purpose. eg. bending girders. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Well I've come up with a general style. That's about it though. I'm not gonna rush, it's gonna have to be seriously good to even get into the top 3 I reckon.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Yeah tysons sure is good, and both rick and chris are making some killer progress on theirs. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
Everybody's entries look super cool. It's going to be though to hang with you guys. I'm having problems with mine, I think I've about got it worked out though.
My entry should be coming soon.

It's currently a few scribbles on a bit of paper (OMG! Gerard's using a pencil!) I haven't found much time for anything lately but we've got a long weekend coming up so I'm hoping to make a start then.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Hahaha thnx! that's what I was going for.. I'll submit a more serious bot later, maybe in the weekend when I have more spare time, I did that in like 20 min, so im not THAT proud of it hahaha still made me laugh while doing it.
But hey nice job to all of you!! Those are some seriously great renders and creations!
I voted for the Secretary bot, I thought that was quite nice. So was yours Matt, the lighting and materials are great!

Chris your latest entry is amazing. I love how you made it look like one of those electron microscope photos. Excellent use of materials for that! Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.

Raytracing is a rendering algorithm used to accurately calculate reflections as you said, but also refraction, shadows, GI, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. If you're talking about the raytrace material it will enable you to have accurate reflections and refractions.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Stick to editable poly, it's much better than editable mesh. You don't really need to worry about refration and Gi and all that stuff yet so don't stress yourself too much. Just work on your modelling skills for now.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
