i tried several times on making rounded corners for an object but it's not coming accurate? so how do u make rounded corners? for eg: in a mobile phone the buttons r rounded at the corners....so how do i make it. well...chamfering the edges doesn't help much. plz suggetst.

I would probably connect the edges so that I get a bunch of new verts to play with and round them manually.

There's also an extended primitive called a chamfer box which could easily be manipulated into a phone button.

ya .... i know it but what i'm asking is that if the object is a box with no rounded corners initially.... but on extrusion it should have rounded corners...then in that case what to do?

You could add a turbosmooth or autosmooth modifier.
