Hey!
I got a problem when I try to set up my scene for car modeling or face modeling, this is what's happening:
I make a plane as usual, 1x1 segs. Then I get my material, I click the button on the right side of Diffuse, select the image, then I put Self-Illumination to 100 and drag it to my plane to attatch it. Here is the problem, my pictures that I select(doesn't matter which i pick, same problems anyways) seems to be missing some lines on it, like the picture is unfinished.
The picture is, as default resized to fit my plane, I then select a modifier named UVW Map and in the parameters list that appears i take bitmap fit (under Alignment) and select the same picture again, no change. still missing lines on the picture so I can't model to it.
please help, have been trying for a while to get it to work. this is who it looks like. Dimensions on the picture used is 1000 x 532
Regards

Your problem is rather simple one, you need to set up max to load a higher res image to memory, you can do that by going to Customize / Prefrences and on the Viewports tab go to Configure Driver at the bottom of the window, Set your Background texture size and your Download texture size to 1024 and check Match Bitmap as close as possible at both of them, that way max wont be limited by 1024 size and will rather try to load everything that you throw at him in highest possible res.
