To attach pics, you have to post a msg, then click the IMAGE button under it to attach images.

But I think, if I remember, this is also a Members feature, you can continue to post links until your rank increases.

Its just so that spammers cant come and ruin our forums. I'm sure you'll appreciate how annoying that is.

But yeah, have fun with the site and I'm sure in no time you'll get there.

The model looks good, the only crit i have is that the metal roof could have sharper edges and maybe be thinner in general. This should look pretty good when textured just make sure make the textures rough and dirty. it looks pretty rustic so no clean sharp textures
and it's a story that might bore you, but you don't have to listen, because I always knew it was going to be like that.

Okay, crits time for me.

Follow the numbers on my attached image.

1). I agree with matt, about the roof. Although I love the shape and how banged up it looks, it would look better thinner vertically.

2). Perhaps scale it so that the whole thing is smaller and then stretch it horizontally back to the same length. As the waves are too large. This might also give you room to use two or three panels of the stuff instead of just one big panel. That would make it much more feasable and real.

3). There is a weird artefact here, probaby a geometry anomaly like a bent face or something.

4). It bothers me how cleanly all those planks end. It seems as though they should be all over the place like the ones butting onto them.

5). Same thing as 4.

6). Same as 5. The bottom is rough, seems like the top should be too. Also maybe not quite so large a gap underneath.

They are just the things that I found. Looks like its going to be good. Got any plans for the environment yet?

I can't wait to see this thing with textures. Good work man. I can't add much more in the way of crits than what is already here.

Hi, this is my first attempt on 3ds max9 and mental ray. please comment how to make it more realistic. such as glass and shadows. Seems there is no way to attach a picture.

Thats a pretty nice image you have there. I would recommend using softer shadows. The lighting in the scene does not appear to be direct so if you are going for realism you may want to look into smoothing those shadows a bit. have a look at some real world diffuse lighting images and you will see what i mean. Other than that it is a great image.

Ps. This thread actually belongs to someone else it might be seen as a little rude you posting your work in their topic. You can create a new topic for your work buy clicking the "New Topic" link within a forum.
