Very tidy! I'll take another picture of mine once I move my desk back into the office I built in the garage. My kids drive me nuts during the summer while playing the xbox360 or arcade while I'm trying to work...lol

Well here's mine, unaltered, as it usually (but not always) looks. Note the scattered easter egg wrappers and old monitor that I'll get rid of one day.[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
I'm currently stuck using the same abandoned LG you have sitting on top of your box coz my old monitor died
Also that crappy lamp you have I also have hahah, although I'm gonna have to throw it out coz it zaps me every time i touch it haha Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.

Never give UP.
Yeah i agree, but i'm to scared to take them off of him, who knows what he would do to me when i'm asleep. He's one crazy bunny

really bad habit, and highly addictive, everyone who is thinking on starting to smoke or is skmoking for a small period of time, stop while you have the time, it only gets harder i better stop so this topic doesn't turn into a "hello my name is Altopais and i'm a smoker" haha

After smoking for about five years I dropped it, ..uh, well, like a bad habit.
Then, after being smoke free for two years I started again. Yep, I'm an idiot.
It was relatively easy the first time, not so easy the times I've tried since.
When you're trying to quit it seems like everybody just does their best to piss you off and everything that can go wrong, goes wrong.
I have at least stopped smoking in my house, that way I don't smoke as much.
Chris
i know exactly what you mean, i tried, and manage not to smoke for about 2 months, everything would be fine and i would not smoke today if only nobody pissed me off.
that's great if you don't smoke at home. When i'm at home, specialy at my computer i smoke twice a much as i would do if i'm outside, don't know why, i just light them up one after the other...

I used to do the same thing. If your like me you smoke more because you are too busy doing whatever your doing to actually smoke and get that much needed nicotine. They just burn up and ashes fall in your keyboard and everywhere else.
Chris
yeah exactly, i get to exited, and when i do i just smoke smoke and smoke, my desk is a mess usually, that's a cleaned version on the picture, usually there's ashes on the keyboard, mouse, everywhare but not in the ashtray.
This is how it looks after couple of hours work.
That's not mine haha i google it

I don't know, I've never seen one that bad, but I've seen some that were so bad I thought someone was playing a practical joke, and they still worked.
I used to work for a computer repair service in Nashville, I did on-site repair. These rich people would pay $75 to $150 service call + $75 per hour. I don't know how many times I've walked into fine well kept homes and find a key board covered in cat hair, ashes and what looked like chocolate milk. I would always replace them regardless of them not being the cause of the problem, because I didn't want to touch them more than I had to.
Chris
holly shit man that's one cool looking keyboard...
( i wanted to post a better one but i could not google one better than yours, you win this one! haha)

i spent on average 6-8 hours only in Max some times more some times less, and then there's also internet stuff and everything else like Jamie said, that's a lot of time spent in front of a cumputer. I'm just lucky that she doesn't have to much problem with me doing that.

Our set ups are fairly comparable. very similar indeed . Although I have been intending on getting some proper speakers and a nice widescreen monitor for a while, your foldback speakers look like they could shake loose a filling. At the moment I have to do most of my sound work with a pair of studio headphones. I havent done all that much recording lately but I have plans to buy a bass guitar soon and try to write a few songs . I can never seem to get a good flow using the Keyboard for basslines. the guitars just work better together for me.
Yeah they are quite similar. Yeah my speakers are monsters, they took a huge bite out of my wallet if you catch my drift I am in desperate need of a bass guitar too - I guess that's just one more thing we can compare Keyboards suck as basslines, I've tried and now I've resorted to tuning down my guitar strings and setting a fair amount of bass on the amp to act as a bass guitar. Not the same but it works.[Link to mediadesign.deviantart.com] [Link to www.youtube.com]
This is my little spare bedroom/office on a clean day. Usually there is far more teacups and strange costumes laying around but I havent been shooting much of late.

yeah thats the backup machine. It rarely gets turned on, but if everything goes pear shaped with the bigger computer Trillian I still have all my client work backed up on that was well as photoshop ect ect. Its a bit of a crap computer, but its nice to have it there just incase. It saves my backside constantly!
Gee Greenslade [Link to www.missgee.net]
Yeah Im the same, but Its nice to have photoshop there just incase im computerless. I have had awful times somedays when a computer haas crashed and i cant edit photos by a deadline. It was prety messy
Gee Greenslade [Link to www.missgee.net]
haha yeah that was two years ago when i had a teeny tiny little room wich meant chaos and mess everywhere. I have triple the space now so things dont ever get so chaotic. For the record... I still stash toilet paper in my workspace. In this paticular shot though you cant see whats hidden under the bed...

It's not much but it's home! Don't mind the rotten chair it's about to be replaced, and the flat-screen is dead. I actually had to zoom in on my latest DIY project on my old Canon EOS which I learned two lessons from.
1. Don't pick something apart if you don't know what you're doing or at least have a plan (Well..I probably didn't learn this since i keep doing it over and over..my curious nature I guess)
2. Don't put your finger on a circuitboard in an open camera that is either a) on b) on with fully charged flash.
If you'd only knew how much juice it takes to fire off a flash...and getting into your index finger instead
Ouch! I wouldn't have thought it would do much but I guess when you think about it it makes sense that you'd need a bit of juice to get it going. Did you do much damage?[Link to www.3dprevis.com]
Haha..well the camera got more damaged than me. I just had fingerpains for an hour or so, but the camera is pretty much beyond repair I think since I threw it away when it bit me..
Haha.. I already made a sculpture from my old slaughtered computer. Glued all sorts of curcuitry to the head of a mannequin with the optic lens from the CD-ROM for one eye and the disc-sled in the mouth. Looked really funny. I threw it away when I moved tho. Someone found a terminator head at a junk yard somewhere.
Here's the beast! Or what traded my beast for...
This is my only computer now. It has a 15GB SSD so it can take a pretty hard hit while defragging, or doing what ever. Everywhere I go some stranger tells me how cute it is and that they want one. I only run ubuntu 9.10 on it. People keep asking if it's windows 7...
Yeah defrag optimizes HDD's because of the physical movement the read head has to travel to find all the bits of the file. Since there's no movement in an SSD, there's no slowdown if the files are fragmented. I think it may even decrease the life of the drive, as you're using many reads/write cycles per second to do the defrag.
I wants one. I cant imagine how fast Lightroom would work with one. It would be intense,Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
If I were taking photos on the road, I would want a small light weight netbook as well. This thing has been great for school.
I even found a US law that allows me to photograph my textbook and keep it on my hard drive; the netbook weighs far less than the book and is twice as small.
