This started as a speed paint and then 1 hr later i found my self working on the details, I kinda suck at landscapes so crits are needed please!

added: did another one, this time it was a speed painting, 10 mins.

added: another one, 15 mins and don't freak out about the grass I have a custom brush for that haha.

added: another one, 30 min this time.

added: 10-15 mins added a barn this time.

added: 20-30 mins, trees are hard.

I really like the mountain and the grassy one. you really nailed the sense of atmosphere and skylight in the first one and the last one is working really well too. My only crit would be that they make me want to see more of the landscape a wider angle view with a bit more distance maybe?.

No worries, also. Maybe it would help with the feeling of depth if there was the suggestion of foreground and middle ground. I found a Vue render from the webisite that illustrated my point below. that, and you could add a focal point somewhere to lend interest such as a windmill in your grass or a small hotair balloon by the mountains. something that tells a bit of a story.

Looking good Jamie, the first and the third one look like photos in when they're in thumbnail form. I agree with Tyson though about adding a focal point. Maybe an old fence post might look good in that grass.

All very nice, I really like the forth one. It would be great to have a rock or something in the foreground.
I'm amazed that you can do this so quickly.

if you could see them full sized you would realize how much detail they lack.

To me the lack of detail is appealing. The viewer can fill in the gaps.

I like the low detail aesthetic too but a highly polished 2k version with loads of fine details would have alot of impact.

They're all looking pretty damn good. However, I too would like to see a nice high res image with a bit more time spent on it. But it's really up to you whether you want to go down that path. You seem to enjoy the speed painting.

I suck at speed painting, the idea is that you capture the feel of the scene, the details are not so important.

Look at these and you will get what im trying to do.

You have a very impressionist style, it is really quiet good, You dont really need to change much if anything, you dont suck at all. I think the only one that didnt work that well was that last one...

You are on the right track, just do more and you will get the results you want

I give you 2 thumbs up for this body of work smile.gif
It is ok, I wouldn't talk to me either...
