Hi All,
I'll do my best to try and explain my question. I have a Spline that has some animation done to it. I have used a soft select on so that the end vertex moves the most and the animation trickles down the chain. I have a couple other splines that I would like to link to the animated vertices on the first spline. What I have done so far is, I made a selection and used a link Xform which is linked to a dummy. How do I link the dummy to one of the animated vertices on the original spline?

Note: If I add an additional edit spline to the animated spline and select the vertice I can see the X, Y, Z data as it animates. Is this the best I can do? Match the data by hand and animated the dummy object? I want to avoid attaching the splines to each other so that I can loft the splines after they are all linked.

Well hopefully theres enogh here to get the ball rolling. If you have questions please ask I'm sure i did a crappy job at explaining the problem. Thanks for the help!! --Tom

I didn't even know you could animate vertices. That said, I'm 99% sure you can't link and individual vertex to anything, it only works on the object as a whole.

Yah thats kinda what I was thinking. I didn't know if there was some trick to get constant X,Y,Z coordinates and use it to link. In the mean time I just have been animating it by hand. Its gonna be a pain if i need to make any changes to the master Spline that all the aother animations are based off of. Thanks for the response.
