I doubt it, I've generally heard pretty good reviews on it - it's meta critic score is 85% which is pretty damn good. I don't think many people are big fans of the DRM though.

I read an interesting article about spore in Edge magazine talking about all the anthropological interestingness it has to offer. I'd give it a try but sim type games arent really my favourite genre. Let us know how it goes Jamie.

Well I played it last night the cell stage was awesome extremely visually impressive kinda like a mini game. I just got on to land so ill update after I have played around with that for a bit.

i thought the cell stage was awesome fun, but after that i kind of lost interest. i dont know why but once i got on land it just didnt appeal to me anymore. Now i'm up to the next stage, the tribal stage, I'm finding myself pretty bored.

As for spore yea I loved the cell stage and the char creation thing. But the land stage was kinda boring and the tribal stage is like a poor version of an rts game.
