I am back after being away for almost three months. I've been spending a lot of time helping my wife with her photo studio and teaching her Photoshop. This is a project I am doing for a flash intro on a web site for a large custom stairway company in Missouri. I'm recreating a photo that they have given me. When this is all done, the camera will follow up the stair and to a set of double door, which will open to display their site and gallery. Let me know what you think as I progress through this.

Very nice, love the look of the wood. Photo real as far as I'm concerned. Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
wow, that's great...looks real....love the wood,,,i wish i was good as you,en all the members of forum...coz now im not doing any 3D ,im only doing 2d plan and design of house now....im too busy not enough time to do 3D now....but maybe soon..
i wish i can do that too......
i need more practice....
I've added some more images above for the progress that I have made today. Once I have the window install on the left wall and make some furnishings, I will then work on the lighting. Just concentrating on the modeling right now.

The stairs are really beautiful, love the cherry looking finish. Looking forward to the lighting.
From a carpenters point of view, the doors seem a bit odd.
Typically the Rails and Styles, A,B,C, are equal width. An alternative would be to swap the widths A and B. The Rail at the bottom, D, is usually wider than the rest.
Also the large bottom panel is unusual, it would look better to break it up into two long or wide panels, but that's only a matter of personal taste I guess.
Thanks.. I didn't research the doors much.. On the actual photo I have, I can not see these door, so it was part of the gap that I had to fill in. These will be an easy fix.
Thanks for all of the comments guys. Like always, I appreciate all feedback. I have some more modeling to do for it and some recessed lighting for the upstairs portion. The good news is, it was done enough for now to show my client my the concept that I was going for on the intro to his website and I landed the job.. So, woohoo.... more Christmas money for the family. lol... I feel that everything looks realistic enough and it's really coming out better than I had hoped after being away for 3 months, but I not sold on the picture light. It's the only thing that looks fake to me.
I think it's looking great.
The tiles are the only thing that catch my eye as "fake"
The edge radius looks too big even for such a large tile, it looks out of scale, if that make sense?
Nice work rick! Did you end up getting my msn with your account details? Please support us and post a [Link to www.digitalartsfront.com] on your website.
