Yeah so I submitted the video i've been working on for uni to 3D Total, in the slight chance I might get it put in one of their galleries. I got an email back from the dude running it going yeah your on our featured animations and i didnt think much of it at the time... but when the video started getting ridiculously high hits i checked out the home page for 3D Total... and yep there it was, my work featured up there with heaps better work lol. Hooray! Check it out here [Link to www.3dtotal.com]

Wow I can see why they chose to feature your video. Its very original. You don't often see 3d used in that way. most people are so focused on being an animator or building a creature that their work fails to carry an emotional chord. This is full of atmosphere and emotional impact. I like it.

Congratulations, though I'm hardly suprised. I was a bit dissapointed to see the first comment you got was obviously from a complete knob. Anyone on a site like 3d total obviously has some basic knowledge of CG and how much work would have gone into your animation and to post a comment like that first up just shows a complete lack of respect.

Thanks guys smile.gif Your support, comments and advice are always very much appreciated! @ Steve, yeah some guy totally ripped it apart and said that it sucked etc, etc, but it wasn't really constructive criticism as much as a 'this is how you SHOULD have done this, etc' so I took it down. Also, I managed to sneak the work in as condensed 3 min version in the "Moving Image" exhibition for SALA - entry was free and its just gona be showed online at adelaidenow.com. So thanks again everyone for being such a great community, otherwise I would never have the courage or confidence to put the work out there! Who knows what might happen, right? grin.gif

Great work. you deserved it to be up there. I feel ashamed for my country as that first reply was by a dutch somebody as well, Argh. what a dumb guy. He should give it a try himself before saying something like that.

Nice work, Congratulations.
