Hiya guys and girls,

Just wondering, as a total beginner on 3Ds, how long have people been 3D modelling for?

I know when I first got a copy of Photoshop, I literally spent days upon days upon days learning the tools. Then the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into years.

And now I have a new toy in the form of 3Ds. Already seem to be getting the bug. I even get up 2 hours early, before going to work, so that I can have a good few hours work without disturbing my good lady wife.

She already sees herself as a pc widow, so I'm trying to ration myself. LOL

I first used 3ds max in 2003 but didn't get serious until 2005. I'm well and truely bitten, there's no going back now.

I started 3d in 2005. Learnt to model in wings3d and render in bryce and then vue. Before jamie finally converted me to max and vray.

hey was just checking out your website! Heaps Impressive images there! Would love to see you post some up at some point.

I never have even touched 3ds max. I intend on doing so at some point, but like you photoshop was a massive enough learning experiance. I'm a bit scared of delving into a new program! One day../. oh one day

..i started learning 3ds max in 2007, and used photoshop for a while before that without learning much. havent learned vray yet, but i plan to in the next projects i get up to! also got myself a copy of combustion, and il try to make sparkly things in that sooner or later...
