Just a question about applying materials to static meshes in unrealed 3. I have figured out quite alot about the material editor in Unrealed and I'm very impressed. In some ways its better than max's editor (non linear and powerfull!!). I was wondering though if its possible to assign materials based on material ids that you assign in max?. like for instance If I created a lamp that was unwrapped then created a nice normal mapped material with specular etc for the main object. then I wanted to apply a seperate material to the globe that glows or something by assigning it to a seperate material id within the mesh.
or do I have to create a mask to achieve that effect all in the one material?
