I just learned how to rig my characters hands : problem bone positioning

Why isn't there a simple way to reposition bones rotation without effecting your mesh after skinning! is it that hard to make an on/off button?!?! live and you learn but man is it frustrating!

What really bothers me is "meism"

In case you don't know what meism is...

Meism is, ME first and know one else in the world matters.

For example: You're in line with ONE item at a small store that has two registers but only one is open. You are forth in line. The person at the front doesn't know how to write a check or use their card, or count count their change. So you wait and wait, finally some lazy ass employee (out of fear of a riot) decides they should open the other register because there are 20 people in line. "I can get some body over here" she says. The third person in line, the person in front of you, the person that has a cart full of s**t and probably doesn't know how to count or use a card,,,etc, damn near knocks you down to get to that other register.

I hate that is happens to me all the time, I hate those people. I also hate people who ask you to fix the computers and then you do and a week later something goes wrong and they blame it on you and then start screaming at you and telling you to fix it.

oh god. I seem to remember being asked to buy a new computer because one week I installed word... the next week their computer died and It was apparently all my fault.

Im not sure they realise theres a logical explanation for most things do do with a computer. My mother used ot tell me not to install anything new on the computer without having a technitian do it... I might just "delete something or blow something up"

No jokes... I got GROUNDED as a teenager so many times because of "changing the computer" - when i hadnt done a thing.

Finally i conned my mother into doing some computer night courses... this resulted in worse...

"No i havent!"
"YES. THIS ONE IS DIFERENT TO THE ONE AT SCHOOL!"
"Ah... well yeah mum... thats because they have a diferent version of word"
"WELL WHY DID YOU PUT A DIFERENT VERSION ON OUR COMPUTER"
"Because its the version that came with out computer"
"NO ITS NOT. WE HAD THE SAME ONE AS SCHOOL! PUT THE OTHER ONE BACK ON HERE"

That arguement had me banned from my computer for a year. It was Painful. Just painnnnnful. She removed the entire pc from the house.

She still till this day will swear i used to stuff with the computer to screw with her. my teenage years would have been so much easier if mum just knew how to use a computer. I swear.

My parents would just freak out every time I installed a new game or program. Because when they go to unsafe sites that bring about virus's obviously all foreign programs are the same. then Kazaa came out.. whew did my parents freak when that showed up on their pc. A little knowledge of how to spot and deal with viruses can go a long way but try explaining that to someone who sees programing as 101011010.

OH and I can never forget "the all powerful Mecafe anti virus protection it's a life saver.." pretty sure it's the biggest waste o space that constantly acts like an adware program itself, atleast back in 1998 it was.

Man I second that. Basically, I'm free tech support for my whole family. They seem to think that since I can use a bunch of programs that I can fix their internet issues, get their horribly scratched cd's to read, and everything inbetween. The annoying thing is, since I assist them so often I CAN help with most of their problems... so unfortunately I have no excuses now.

Oh and my Dad gave me the task of building a program to connect to his products from the computer via a COM port... with the added pressure of him telling me if I don't have it done soon then he'll lose the major client he's producing it for, despite me telling him I most likely can't do it since I've never done it before...

Just like many of you, I'm a big sci-fi junkie. I read it, watch it, play it, and above all, argue about it. And the hot button with me is "language".
I live near the border of Mexico and happen to be half Mexican my self. The language barrier down here is a challenge for Spanish and non Spanish speakers. Business transactions suffer daily because many people don't understand one another. If you can speak both, then you're free to venture into areas and buy lunch with out trouble. If you can't then expect a lot of hand gestures and arm waving.
This is what I expect to happen if you go to another world with that's never seen a human before. And every time some lost civilization on some sci-fi show speaks perfect English it pisses me off. Because I was believing in the story right up until that point. Now sometimes aliens have super powers that can give them the excuse to speak English. I'm not talking about those guys.
<-me going crazy.

whoever thought that making films in 3d was good idea was either a genius or a completely batshit insane madman. i'm going to say they were the latter, cause seriously with all the crap it takes to get even the simplest of animations happening. I'm talking modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, compositing and any other processes you can think of, FUCK there has got to be a better way to do this.

lack of sleep! i hate it so much and it happens so often. Its not that i'm out and about all night every night (only some nights) its just i can't sleep and then cannot function properly the next day. its been 24 years you'd think i would have got the hang of falling asleep already i've had plenty of practice, but no.
