Thats nice work. it has the right clean quality most architectural visualisation companies strive for. I would always dirty stuff up alot but then why would you want to buy the place right.. One thing that bothers me is that the buildings seem a bit too white maybe if they had a subtle texture aswell.

Yeh, it looks good. I find that some architectural visualisations don't seem to blend in with their backgrounds all that well, like the light it wrong or the background is too clear or blurry, but you image is pretty seamless. Good work.

Cheers guys, thanks for the comments. I posted this elsewhere and they told me not to blur the background as it made it look minature.

I dont know if it was REALLY obvious, but all the background is done in vue6.

Vue is good for that. Grab the free easynat tree plugin for some good high res trees in max. [Link to www.bionatics.com]

True about the depth of field effect having that result. Its a good trick when you want to make something seem very small though. I think you can still blur it very slightly. there is a bit of depth of field in any lens. Sometimes I´ll render a zdepth pass and use it to mask a very slight lens blur in photoshop so its not just the background being blurred.
You can use the same pass to add a tiny bit of fog which adds depth and scale to the shot. If you add some shrubs or a foreground tree you can blur those with lens blur and it will make it look more photographic and also help to frame the composition.
If you´re using vray it would look cool to have some vray fur grass on the lawn. Its pretty quick to do with max hair aswell.

Cheers mate. I already have a zdepth of this for that purpose, but as i said i had been told to leave it off. I'll have a go at it!

I'm not using vray, its just mental ray.
