what would be the best thing to do dealing with this fog thing on my volume light on the window, it doesnt looks real.. the volume light is bigger than the window..

I'm just doing some experiments on how things works, coz I'm just curious on some basic lighting...

How did you make the volume light? Show us the scene setup?

I use a direct light then add effects volume light... don't have screen shot at the moment

yes.. the light is outside and pointing inside on the floor... i forgot to take screen shot..

the density of volume light = 5 (default)

did you checked that window hole for errors, some verts not welded or something?

already check the windows... its doing fine.. when I applied the boolean nothings got any different... everything was fine..

yes shadows turned on.. "shadow area" specifically... i try vray but it doesn't showed up...

When using volumetric with vray you must use Shadow Map shadows.

Yeah I don't think max's native area shadows are completely compatible with vray. use shadow maps and turn up the sample range to blur them a bit.
