I think the ceiling is fine. The whole scene looks pretty good.

Looking great, It could be a bit evenly lit, it might be more interesting if there was an obvious light source that cast some stronger shadows.

Try and think about what is providing the light in the room. Is it a lamp? Is it the sun? Is it some downlights? There's plenty of light in your scene, but no obvious sources. Maybe model some downlights or lamps or have a bright vray ligt shining in through the window.

It looks like the light is from the strips of white all around like built in light boxes. they look cool but you will get stronger shadows from a more directional light source. Like Gustave says, sun streaming in from the window makes for a more dramatic scene. Maybe a lamp filling in a dark area with attenuation turned on. The sun also provides a different spectrum of light. The sun is cooler in colour. tinted light blue wheras a lamp is warmer, tinted orange or yellow. Where they meet gives a colour gradient that adds contrast. The colour you tint light sources comes from their colour temperature. lamps and standard globes are quite warm. the sun is very cool, and flourescent lamps are slightly green. You can check colour values for typical light fixtures by using photometric light presets.
