Hi everyone, a little problem I'm currently having with my first exterior project is that when I render the walls appear to have strange marks on them even though all walls are aligned. I've attached jpg for details, with this being my first exterior, I'm not really sure what the prob could be (however I would guess it could be the uvw mapping on the walls? Do i need to smooth the walls or something similar?)

thanks in advance for any pointers! : )

That looks like bad UV mapping, apply a UVW Unwrap mod.

Thanks Matt, looking at my model, my walls consist of various segments joined together, (example one wall is 3 pieces aligned together top wall section, a lower wall section and a boolean window section) so each wall segment has a different uvw map and the seams are visible when rendered. How do I go around covering up that the wall that is made from 3 segments to actually look like its just one segment? Thanks again for any advice! reading this would it be an idea to join all segments and apply just one uvw map? I am not really sure how its done in arch vis, hence my many questions and being a newbie!

thinking about it I must have to join all the segments together and then apply the uvw mapping to just the one wall segment in order for the texture to flow seamlessly right? thanks for any heads up on this!

ok, I figured out what I was doing, I simply attached all the segments, converting splines to editable and attaching where necessary, applied a fresh uvw map to ALL the side of the newly formed wall (previously 5 peices of aligned 'wall') and then rendered! simple, I must have been having a 'senior moment' back there hehe..... : )

Glad its solved. I was going to suggest using Edit Poly and Attach.
