Hey people

Name is Brychan Asaris

I am an artist of sorts... I say of sorts because I am a bit all over the shop at the moment...

I've graduated from UNISA with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, and am back at uni now doing a Bachelor of Architecture.

I work in a range of different media and styles, I like to move around a lot in what I am doing.

I am a painter, drawer, sculptor and photographer and do all this in the real world and digital format!

It may sound strange but I have a real love for collecting pictures of people on toilets... No not in the sick way... It just is such a fascinating subject (and when I eventually get myself a camera, I will be taking volunteers to pose for some loo photos

)

I found this place because of Miss Gee. We had a few classes in Uni together and worked have worked together photographically. We are good friends and we value each other opinions quiet a lot which has seemed to have led me to being Miss Gee's personal critic lol

But yes I am very open on giving and receiving critique, so if you see something you think is wrong with my work PLEASE TELL ME... because obviously I haven't seen it, or don't view it in the same way so it is good to get feed back! That is why I am happy your forum has a section just for that

Oh and don't be offended if I do make a comment about your work and it isn't completely positive, it is just an opinion, that ultimately is there to help you.

Well I guess that is it for now... Oh and don't mind if I use a lot of dots in my comments, it has become a habit of mine...

hey! i also went to UniSA and did classes with Gee

I'm a 3D artist, and I've just recently discovered how awesome environment art is! I'm also a professional bellydancer, and some of my work involves themes of the feminine or arabic/middle eastern culture. At the moment I am in my final semester, and have absolutely loved this degree. I don't normally use forums or anything soo if im a bit noobish please dont pay me out

I am also heavily influenced by the artwork in the video games Silent Hill and Resident Evil (and number 5 on ps3 is awesome), and work as a video game salesperson casually! <---- geek girl right here! Looking forward to meeting local artists and perhaps even exhibiting or collaborating!

Im happy you loved your degee! I didnt so much... I had tend to have a differnce of opinions with my teachers often lol
I guess that is why Im doign arcitecture now(which is awsome)

I love those games

Im play alot more video games than I like to admit...Im such a nerd

*random trivia* i like nerd better than geek.... as the word nerd was invented by Dr Seuss and used in his book If I Ran the Zoo, and geek was orginally used for people in freak shows that ate heads of chickens

I draw alot of zombies and am looking to do a zombie/undead exhibition at some point (when I get some time to do some paintings) It shall be a collaboration so ill keep you in mind if you wish, If get around to doing it

Holy crap I just realised who this is! Hey!!!

Yeah I'm still there finishing that damned degree. I cant say I'm loving it but its been a fun ride any way. Met heaps of rad people so heaps happy about that.

Oh am i havent gotten to playing silent hill or resident evil... Leon and I are gonna go grab resident evil pretty soon though. I only just recently got into gaming after Leon got the massive tv. We have xbox so were hugely into gears of war. I loved bioshock and prince of persia, I recently finished both.

I still need to take photos of zombies... Its been a promise for years. LOL

Yeah have to say the people I met have to be the best part of uni!!

Bah gears of war series are so lame, but you cant help play them cause they are fun

bioshock was good, system shock 2 is good aswell , but you need an old enough computer to play it (as it is an ollld game). but bioshock 2 should be out sometime soon

Yeah I still have many things to do I promise art wise lol

I have system shock here, I just havent tried it on my older computer. Somehow ithink its whopping 2ghz and 256meg of ram will be far too much for the old game. I really enjoyed bioshock though. I wanna play it without saving all the little sisters though. I saved them all last time... so ill play it through again.

Isnt bioshock being made into a movie too? buy the same guy who did pirates of the carribean (i hope i spelt that right) I recon that would be damned awesome. Bioshock is one that would work as a movie.

Gears of war is just big stupid fun. Seriously... chainsawing aliens is just what one needs on "hating things" days. I dont give a shit if the storey line sucks. Give me big marine looking guys with retarded guns any day. I have a gears or war style shoot im planning soon... ohhh i cant wait.

Play prince of persia. Its freaking pretty. I dont care if its damned easy... its just beautiful relaxing fun to play.

Im playing that atm is lots of fun!! not as good as no.2 but Im still having fun!!

Yeah but you know they would screw the moive up if they made it!!

Well that is basically what I got from GoW series, it is enjoyable because itis fun, givng it any more credit would be wrong LOL

I loved Prince of persia sands of time, but I have so many games I need to buy lol.

But playing all the elder scroll games, I gues im use to the exapnsiveness of it!

Fallout 3 had so much potential. I really enjoyed alot of it, but seriously, do as many side quests as you can before following the main quest too much.

And I can't beleive you blew up megaton! Haha, you evil little person.

yeahhhhh and I failed good and propper because as soon as I was able to blow shizz up I did... now im too lazy to find anymore quests. I'll get back to it one day. Plus at the time i started playing all my housemates were playing it too. All i saw for about three months on the tv was fallout. It really made me want to rebel against it

Oh yeah I know how that feels... I hate it when the main TV is taken voer by some game... It is fine for a little bit...but all the time is a bit much...

If you playing on the xbox, do all the side quests you can... as the game ends with the mai quest

But if your on the PC like I am.. you can isntall a patch that lets you keep playing after the main quest is done.... Oh also one that lets you shoot children *evil smile*

GAHHHH see i tried to play on pc... now my pc is pretty awesome. I just scrimped on the graphics card when i got it... so currently I cant play fallout. It may have been because I was using windows xp64 bit... that was BULLSHIEETTT. Thankyou lord for vista 64. seriously... happier times

yeah yeah I have been really liking what I'm hearing. Did you try out the beta version of it? I nearly did but microsoft took it down when I finally ggot a chance to try it.

Why are you using the 64 bit version??? Honeslty for everyday usage ect it is just a big pain in the ass because you have to get program espically made for it, and usually just ends up being more buggy and harder to use than the 32bit.. yeah you generally et a faster program and more ram access... but IMO when you weigh up the pro's and con's I just dont bother unless I was running a sever...

and then the pro's and con's of using vista over xp...

in the end XP 32 bit wins IMO

2 gig of ram wasnt cutting it... I use too many layers in photoshop. Somewhere around the 30-400 layers region. So in the end I upgraded to 4 gig and trialed windows xp 64... I have to say, for just simply running cs3 it was an absolute DREAM. Smooth as silk... but in the end having to tweak every setup of everything I wanted to install I ended up getting pissed off and going back to xp32 and noted how much i really did use that extra 2 gig of ram. Soooooo I upgraded to vista 64, and honestly when it comes down to it... I dont care how damned against vista I am... I'm sticking with it. Its seriously worth it in the end when I note how much more productive I can be instead of sitting thereusing two computers at once to make one image. stuff... That.

Seriously, I tried it all, and in the end it comes down to what feels better to use, vista 64bit it is.

Well that is fair enough, I hate the fact xp has the rtam limitation...it is the main thing wrong with the O, i figured it would be something like that though... well by the looks windows7 seems to be making people a little happy (unlike vista did at this same stage for testing). So who knows, we may have a best of both worlds soon

yeah I really hope its as good as what people are saying. I have heard windows 7 is what vista should have been., Vista wasnt the spawn of satan i had thought It was, but I still feel slightly dirty for using it.

It was when it first came out, they have fixed alot of stuff with patches, mind you XP was bad before it was patched up... and even then it went wrong sometimes (laughs at the SP1 issues).

But yeah fingers crossed with windows7

I love Dr seuss

I also love how he called himself Dr, not because he is one, because his father wanted him to be a doctor, so he used it for his pen name

Yea I just got accepted into fine art school I went for a few visits and realised that it just was not for me. The teachers treat you like crap, they have no respect for new students. One guy was like well the life drawing class and the painting class overlap so just do mine (painting). I was like yea and then I wont get enough points for my degree... Uni is not for me. Im starting a class in oils next week so that should be good.

Yeah it is all about what you want to get out of the course's and Uni just didnt do it for me... it left me so un-motivated and other than the few execptions didnt really support my artistic needs...

On the flip side it did guide me down the road to photography, and without it I wouldnt have wanted to get into architecture
