I had plans for my next project, but a Western Scene just popped into my head.. You've got to go with it right? I can't remember the last time I saw a western, let alone a Chuck Wagon! Here is a sneak peak of the none texture version of my progress so far. This should be interesting.
Rick

Hehe... That's great... Glad I can bring out the imagination of other. The under carriage is slowing me down a bit. All of the reference material I have found doesn't really show a lot of the underside. I know most of this stuff won't show up in the seen, but I'm just a stickler for detail. Really sucks sometimes.
Rick
yeah he probably could, but i'm gonna check some things out first, like going back couple of weeks and bet on sports games ahaha
i like the details, great work so far, looking forward on seeing it fully textured

nice model spitfire can't wait to see how your john wayne/clint eastwood looks
and tyson that's some really good artwork what's this blackberry series about? concept-wise...
I found a couple of reference pics that I hope will help.
Images 1 and 2: Seems that covered wagons don't really have much of a spingy suspension, they look like they would be bone jarring.
Image 3: The Buckboard type wagons have a very spingy looking suspension.
Images 2 and 4: Something else I noticed, most of them have a positive wheel chamber.

Yes, I did. Put on a lot of friction to keep it from sliding off. I worked out really well.. Then just used soft select to bend the front and rear around and then just relax it a bit.
Rick
Looking really good. you're working very quickly too. the only crit that comes in to my head is that the fabric looks in some way too thick. like the creases are too large. it makes the cart feel like a miniature. not that its a huge problem but it struck me.
looks really good. the only thing I'd say now is that I can see the tiling of the wood texture on the front panel and the seat. if you make a single piece of wood texture for each of those pieces it would go along way I think.
