My girlfriend doesnt mind me sitting on the computer so long as I can claim its work related and because this forum is about 3d she just politely asks me how my work is going. Fallout 3 is another matter because its harder to convince her that shooting things in the head and watching it playback in slow motion is related to work despite my best efforts.

Seriously, She is on her computer more than I am on mine. She watches online TV, reads news etc... using what used to be my 32" monitor. It was a trade off, I chose the dual core and small monitor over the single core and the giant monitor.

My boy is only 18 months, he knows the mouse is a mouse, and that pressing space makes my character jump in certain games so getting there, all I need is to teach him programming and modelling and he'll be sorted! Hehe

I honestly don't believe in games ratings if you have been raised properly. I started playing GTA when I was about 14, and it's not had any effect on me, but then I am a naturally calm person, don't get angry. Even in GTA I don't go for pointless killing (except through my driving in it )

Yeh, I'm the same. I think as I get older it's getting worse too. I've been playing GTA SA a bit recently and I won't even hijack cars, I only take the empty ones. Next time round I'll probably take public transport

I watched one couple go down the gurgler because he had to have "wow" time. they even had a roster, she wasnt allowed to enter his computer room during wow time. some people just take it too far, I think he even had a wow girlfriend or some shit.
I can see it becoming a huge issue in the future when its so real you can hardly tell your not really a axe weilding magic casting hob goblin.

yea, thats why we broke up, although it wasn't that seveer, I just had a bad addiction at the time, but not being able to play for a year and a half helped get over it, don't play it as much anymore (I was really bad before)

Yea when I first started playing my life was kinda shit at the time. So I played a lot. Now I just play when I don't have anything better to do. However it can get in the way of art sometimes, but i think all games do that.

Well our realm seems to be consitsting mostly of Greeks (I have nothing against the Greeks, they just don't participate much in the game that way), and all the other guilds are for the "Elite" players, who you have to be like top level with top end gear to get into it. Which sucks

hehe, the language of wow

d/k is a death knight, the new class introduced in the expansion.

Inst is short for instance, which is a dungeon, with alot harder enemies, and has to be done in groups.

And ramps is short for ramparts, which is one of the instances, generally done at level 61-63

ahh, well they should have em . No I get addicted to games too, I think final fantasy 10 didnt do my relationship at the time any favours. Everything in moderation I guess.
plus I tend to stick to games that have a conclusion.

Never liked FFX, couldn't get into it.

I think that is the problem with wow, there isn't a conclusion, to say "I've finished" But I love a good RPG, I found Mass Effect very enthralling.

That is what a like about wow tho you can play as much or as little as you want there really is no pressure to get to the end. The content is always changing and there is always something new to do. However there is the pressure people put them selfs under to reach 70 and now 80 with the expansion. It is a game I would recommend it to everyone on this forum. The art work is amazing and if you only check it out for that it will be worth your while.
