I am fairly new to 3ds. I have used some free programs for a few years but I now want to learn 3ds. I am going to build a new PC and I need help deciding on a display monitor.
Would one large monitor be more useful with 3ds or two smaller monitors?

I personally couldn't get along with 2 screens anymore. Is so user friendly to have your viewports on one screen and your panels on the other. You can then stretch out your panels to open up all options in your modify panel, instead of having to scroll.

I have two 21inch wide screens... like SpitFire said... its awesome being able to stretch the viewports to use an entire screen and have then your modifiers, layers, materials and other dialogue windows open on the other screen!

Thanks. Is there an advantage to a wide screen? I thought those were just for watching movies. I have not had a wide screen before.

I've managed to get by with just the 1 monitor. In fact, up until a month or so ago I only had a 17" CRT. I've got a widescreen 22" now which is a lot better.
