I'm attempting to model my wife in ZBrush. Here is the start. Got the basic shapes down.

Great start. The good thing about this is that you'll be able to tell people that your wife's a model.

great model mate. treading on some dangerous ground there though. In my experience
A portrait of one's significant other can be very hard to get right, at least in her eyes.

If he gets it right though, that's a lot of brownie points right there.

I'm not overly impressed with this, but I'm tired of messing with it. It will have to do. I suck a styling hair in Max, so I cheated and posed this in the same manner as a picture I had and just stole the hair from the real picture and painted on the rest of the facial hair.

Nothing wrong with some creative compositing trickery. looking good.
I'd say the nostrils need to be more defined though, less smoothed into the cheek area.

It gets that way after hours of working on something hey. Good job overall man. Love the composite trick too wink.gif

Yeh, the hair looks awesome. I think the eyes may be pointing out just slightly rather than straight ahead and if I remember back to the picture you posted of you and your wife on your honeymoon I don't think this was the case. smile.gif
