I think this is amazing, very well done.
I think that the background is all plain (A few light shaods here and there, but no images / photos or other rendered objects) really adds to the quality of the car - I often see (on other tut sites) loads of detail adding extra stuff to a "plinth" to put the car on - it all seems to take away the beauty of the car

You are absolutely right, but theres a reason why it's like this. There are some reasons why it has no background , but the main reason is that I started to make a scene for it. Unfortunately I couldn't finish that because max crashes at render, low memory I added a bit more detail to the model then I should, and 2 gigs of RAM ain't enough.
I'll try to fix that and maybe I'll put up some images if I finish that

I love this rendering.. simple yet great! Very good modeling skills, and a clean rendering. If you can, take the alpha of this car, and play with photoshop to put this into an environment. Go to the challenge area and see the Pimp my Ride challenge, we used a car with the same perspective as this, and all submitted Photoshoped versions with dif. backgrounds. Only playing with the rendered still. It would be good practice, and will help with the demonstration of this image.

BTW I do wanted to make something with this in photoshop after I finished the scene for it, unfortunately, I couldn't finish that so.. I forgot about it...maybe one day if I get bored, I'll try make something
