| Comment - As promised, this is my progression on the chess set (started when I was running through the tutorials in 3DS max)
Changes made from previous render:
1) Have now cloned several pieces (so that I can alter to grain effects on the wood of each individual piece)
2) Have rendered in the "perspective" view (positioned a camera, but as its so close, still looks objective but hopefully when I place the board on a table it will look less objective)
3) Obviously have rendered the pieces in wood (thanks for all the advice in the "my first cheeky question" thread)
Things still to do:
1) Add all of the opponent pieces
2) Create and texture the King and Queen pieces
3) Texture in a better colour for the black peices, atm am just using the same texture as the board
Longer term:
1) Place the board on a small table
2) Place table in a room (generic plain walls)
3) Experiment with lighting effects
