Nice DOF, Good composition. You are very lucky you got him to look at you like that. Even though birds look via the side of the head it still looks as if he is staring at us. The only thing that lets the image down is the color, which is mostly due to the environment. Also you could possible paint out the twig cutting into his chest, but that's nit picking. Good work
