I notice the difference from the first. It is a great improvement.

Thanks! And yeah, it's pretty impressive, and depressing.

Nah, it's not technically black and white (and I'm not converting it, too much tonal detail in the colours that I want to preserve), and I already have a submission in the B&W challenge.

I think everyone who lives in Adelaide will have thought about photographing that, you did a nice job of it!
It is ok, I wouldn't talk to me either...

Comment - This might look familiar to folks who have been following my gallery, and well, it is. The old image had been nagging at me ever since I took it, and I always meant to get out and shoot it again. So I did, and this is the result. Slight bit of HDR bastardry going on in there but you might not even be able to spot it. Several exposures taken at F11. Didn't need to HDR it, really, as in post when I converted the 32bit/channel HDR into a 16bit SRGB image, I nuked out most of the extra dynamic range anyway to achieve this much darker, punchier image. Anyways, enjoy, and let me know what you think of the new version. Olympus E620, Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f4.5-5.6.
