I've followed a course to improve reading speed. It basically works on speeding up your reading above your capabilities of acquisition so that your brain will start to improve itself to keep up with the new speed. When you slow down a bit you start to notice even if you cant actually repeat the words in your mind because of the excessive speed, words and concepts will emerge from the "backside" of your brains.
More simply: your starting speed is 20; speed up to 300 for a while, then slow down to 200. That will do.
Furthermore the course involved some excercises to improve your "field of view", the width of your sight, to teach your brains to take advantage, as much as possible, of your peripheral vision.
AND....some exercises to improve the "left-to-right-and-back" rotation speed of your eyes.
If you want I can somehow translate the manual they gave me describing the exercises.
The course should also teach you some mental tricks to memorize stuff much more easily.
It's great and it really works, if you have patience and constancy to exercise regularly.....which I dont.... *shame* -.-
